FAQ
Q
What does this cost?
A
Participation is always free. However, hosting may need some financial commitments. We do have expenses for each Pop Up Playground we provide. We strive to offer each one for as little as possible and often free. However, a hosting fee may be needed to make it happen.
Q
What kind of space do you need for a Pop Up Adventure Playground?
A
A nice large open space is preferred. The exact size depends on the amount of kids you expect. There will be some messy activities involved so outside is always preferred but we can go inside too.
Q
How long does this last?
A
As long as you want! Kids have been known to spend hours at a Pop Up Playground so be prepared to spend some time.
Q
What about the risks of playing at a Pop Up Adventure Playground?
A
We believe that life is risky. Every time we get into a car, change jobs or fall in love we are weighing the risks of a choice against the possible benefits. A similar process of risk/benefit assessments is a fundamental part of playwork practice, allowing children to carefully incorporate more opportunities for challenge into their play. Our play workers are trained for this and we do carry insurance if needed. If you have questions please contact us.
Q
How Can I help?
A
We have lots of opportunities for you to contribute! We need your time in collecting materials, setting up and cleaning up, etc. We also need donated materials like cardboard boxes, tires, ropes, tape - anything a creative kid can play with. Also Money! You can easily donate through our Donations page.
